Welcome!
This site is a directory for the active community fridges across Massachusetts, and maybe some other related mutual aid projects that people would like to share!
You can download a flyer with all of the active community fridges and their addresses (that I know of) here. It was made in June 2025, and the format is PDF. If you need a different format, let me know.
If you have any updates, corrections, or additions, please email me!!!
Thank you for visiting!

Some recent news:
About a month after the Brookline Community Fridge was ordered closed due to "health complaints", they were able to reopen with a new fridge shelter (with added pantry shelving). Here is the article about the fridge's reopening from 105.7fm WROR. The fridge is now being supported by a number of local organizations, and sponsored by two nearby shops. The health dept was clear that while community fridges don't require any permitting, they still may be shut down or incur fines due to sanitation concerns. This is one important example of why we all must do our part to keep these fridges going! I'll re-add this fridge to the sidebar later today.
Have received info from friends in JP that the fridge behind City Feed has not been cooling properly for over 8 months now. Lots of confusion about who the current core organizers are, and whether there is anyone actively involved at all. It is still regularly stocked by neighbors, and I'm assuming by City Feed, but the issue with cooling does raise some safety questions for me. Do you know of any efforts to repair or replace this fridge, or who may be the current organizers? Please let me know!!
